This review is from: Lowrance LGC-4000 WAAS GPS antenna (Electronics) I purchased the the LGC 4000 after buying the HDS-5 Baja for my sand rail. The HDS-5 Baja has a built-in antenna which did not work at all in my situation (dash mount and roof). If I had to do it over again I think I would have saved a few $$$ and purchased the Elite 5 Baja which comes with an antenna although not as fast/accurate as the LGC 4000...but not worth the extra money for my application. Ok...back to the review...the LGC 4000 is smaller than previous models and appears to be well constructed, mounts easily (I installed on the roof) and is nearly plug and play and works as described. Don't forget to purchase the required kit to setup your backbone if you don't already have one as this is not included.
