built-in GPS or GPS Optional ? it is GPS built-in, February 12, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Koolertron Car DVD Navigation player with Digital Screen for Hyundai:Elantra/Sonata/Santa Fe/Tucson/Terracan/Matrix (Electronics) I just received the product. Well packaged and it looks nice. Several wires and little instructions but I think I will get it done in the next days. However, there was something unclear. The product is offered as "built-in GPS" and I can see a GPS antenna included on the package. But the box and manual have written "GPS (optional)... when GPS chipset (Optional) is installed inside...". I saw no evident source for maps, on the package nor presented on the manual. Asking the seller, they answered that no download is needed. The maps are on a micro SD card (included) and the device IS GPS built-in despite the manual and box labeling.
The maps are FBL files for iGO navigation software (included once, with no further update unless paying to the third party software). The files provided are for north america. After contacting the seller, I got a link to download other regions as well. They were very fast and positive in answering. I copied the maps, PI and building files to the... Read more
